OCTOBER REPORT

For My Junior High School's Homepage Blog

The beginning of October was very busy with the school culture festival (bunkasai).

There were many things to see and do at the festival.

There was a lot of nice art work; mosaics, pictures, figures.

Students performed plays, sang and danced on the stage.

Everybody - teachers, students and even parents - helped to make the festival a great event.

There were also many games and activities to enjoy.

I practiced singing in Japanese and sang with many teachers and parents.

It was difficult, but I was happy to help too.

After the festival I was travelling again!

I saw this beautiful sea view in the north part of Kyoto prefecture.

We also saw many Japanese battle ships on the sea!

Haru and I were taking a road trip to see Amanohashidate.

I wanted to go there because I often saw very nice pictures of the Amanohashidate 'bridge'.

We took the chair lift to 'View Land'.

Many people like to look at the bridge between their legs - so I looked between my legs too!

I wanted to go across the bridge so we rented bikes.

It was a nice ride!

Now a short quiz!!

Do you know what this is?

No?

It is the symbol from the Slovak flag.

I lived in Slovakia for 12 years - I was surprised to see this flag in a Japanese resturant!

Of course, October is also Halloween time - and if you want to see some nice Halloween pictures please look at the next report!

See you soon,
Damon
